update from the monkey

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a LONG time. It's been a busy fall, with traveling different places, and then mommy and all my aunts and uncles started school again. So, I figured I'd hit the highlights.

I got to go back to TEXAS!!! I had lots of fun and saw soo many of my friends. I also got to meet lots of new friends...

After we got back from Texas it was orientaion week. This is mommy, and aunt becca, aunt pocket, and aunt sarah in their matching fuller Presbyterian shirts.

I also got to go back to NC. But this time I went to Asheville to see Paige and Chris get married:

There's also been other random fun stuff, like Aunt Becca's b-day. She got the coolest necklace for her b-day, and she let me try it on. I doesn't look like a necklace on me though, it looks more like a country western tie:

So things are busy - but I'm having fun.....

From the East Coast to Cali to Texas

I had sooo much fun in North Carolina and Virginia!! I got to play with Denise's new nephew (finally I met someone who was smaller than me!)

and I got to see Mommy and Aunt Denise run a half marathon (this is them before the race - we had to get up real early for the race!)

and then we got to spend a couple days in North Carolina!

And tomorrow, I'm going on another trip!!! I'm so excited - I'm going back to Texas!!!

I love TEXAS

I got to go to Houston last week!!!!!!! It was so fun!! It was really hot and sticky outside, and really cold inside (mommy said it was the air conditioning - but I didn't mind, cause I got to see so many of my favorite people!

Mommy, Aunt Sarah and I went to Houston for Cursillo training - we're all going to staff a weekend in September - I'm so excited! We got to stay with Karen and Steve - here's a picture of me with Karen, and Aunt Sarah (who's wearing some funny glasses).

We also got to see my godmother, Barbara, and see her office at Pines!

And we even drove all the way to Wimberley to see one of Aunt Sarah's favorite preachers (and mommy really likes her too) and her husband. They were so sweet to us, and made us a really good breakfast.

And then we went to San Antonio, so I could see my grandma. I was so excited just before we got there, I couldn't eat (and mommy couldn't either - she was even more excited than me). I'm not in this picture (grandma did take a picture of me, with mommy and aunt sarah, but I don't have it yet). I just love this picture of mommy and grandma, so I thought I'd post it.

We got back Monday, and I was tired! I'm sooo glad we went though - it was so much fun. I got very spoiled!!!

Please pray for Aunt Pocket - she's having surgery today.

my new clothes (or some of them)

Over the last few weeks I've been given lots of fun new clothes, and I wanted to show some of them off.

This is my new Texas outfit!!! The jeans were given to me while I was in Texas, the shoes were given in honor of Dr. Kernaghan, and mommy got me the Texas shirt because she knows how much I love all my friends/family in Houston!

These are my new superman pajamas (a gift from Aunt Pocket). They may look official, but I still can't fly (I tried to fly off the bed, but it didn't work - luckily I didn't have far to fall!)

Thanks to everyone for my new clothes - I love them!!!!

North Carolina, Houston, and 4th of July

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been sooo busy!!! First, Mommy took me with her on a two week trip to North Carolina and to Houston!

I got to meet a lot of really cool people in North Carolina that i had heard so much about. One of the first people I met was one of my grandfathers. This is a picture of us:

There was also a cat at the house, but I don't think he liked me too much. I tried to be his friend, and went to sit with him but he just looked at me funny...

and after that, he just wouldn't look at me at all...

and finally he got up and left...

At first, that hurt my feelings, but I got to hang out so many other fun people it didn't matter too much. This is my new friend Hannah (she took me for a ride in her new car!!!)

I didn't too much when I was in North Carolina. Mommy was working at camp all day, but she said I was too young (you have to be at least 4 years old to go to camp).

And then, after spending over a week in North Carolina, we got on a plane and flew to Houston, TX!!!! I was sooooooo excited!!! I got to see sooo many Cursillo people and spend a couple days being totally spoiled!!! (I even got some new clothes while I was in Houston!!!)

This is a picture of me and mommy relaxing one day in the Anderson's pool before going to look for clothes.

It was sooo fun!! It was weird though to be in TX with out my Aunts and Uncle Muffin. I also missed my grandma and grandpa (he was the last person who shared his banana pudding with me!! I missed my banana pudding, but I also just missed being able to see them). But, there wasn't time to be sad because there was sooooo many fun people to see - I had so much fun!!!

And then a few days after I got back, it was the 4th of July!!! And I got to celebrate with so many of my favorite people!!! We even had a visitor from Houston with us!! And, I had on a fun 4th of July outfit. The jeans and hat I got while shopping in TX, but Aunt Pocket made my top (thanks Aunt Pocket!!!). This is a picture of me with Aunt Sarah at the 4th of July picnic in Lacy Park.

Bath Day and Santa Monica

The Memorial Day BBQ was a lot of fun, but one bad thing happened as a result...because everyone was so sweaty after they played volleyball, and they all wanted to hold me, I smelled when I got home...
So, I had to have a bath...

This is mommy making sure I got nice and soapy.

This is me playing in the tub with one of my rubber duckies (there's a LOT of them in our bathroom)

And this is me getting rinsed (I love water- it was fun!!)

And then after my bath, I curled up in a nice dry towel (with ducks on it of course)

After I was all clean, I could go out and play again. One place I went was with my Aunts and Uncles to Santa Monica. This is Aunt Becca, Uncle Reese, my mommy, and Aunt Sarah at the end of the Santa Monica pier.

And then, we went to eat dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.
This is a picture of a statue of Forest Gump's shoe from the movie. Aunt Pocket thought it would be cute to stick me in the shoe and take a picture.

And this is me and my mommy Sophie and Uncle Reese outside the resturaunt.

This is a picture of Aunt Becca and I after dinner (during desert).

It was so much fun!! It was the first time I had been to the beach in California. It was much cooler at the beach than it was in Pasadena - and I got to be with sooo many of my favorite people.

Memorial Day BBQ

This Monday, my mommy and my aunts took the day off from studying (well most of it) and went to a park in South Pasadena. It was Memorial Day, so there were LOTS of people at the park. We hung out with the Fuller Presbyterians, and we ate, and played lots of volleyball, and relaxed in the sun. It was such a great day.

The only scary part of the day was when Ryan decided he wanted to see if I could fly over the volleyball net. This is a picture of Aunt Pocket chasing Ryan as he ran away with me.

It was kinda scary, but Ryan's such a cool guy I knew I wouldn't get hurt. Here's a picture of us later in the afternoon, me, Ryan, and Ryan's fiance- Alethia - she's really cool too!

And this is me with Aunt Pocket. She and I watched a lot of the other people play volleyball - I was too small to play.

This is one picture of the volleyball game:

One of the best parts of the day was all the food! Hotdogs, and lots of side dishes, and Denise's AMAZING cookies. And that afternoon, everyone was snacking on grapes...

Thankfully, people shared with me and I was able to enjoy the grapes too (mommy lets me eat grapes cause they aren't too messy, and it doesn't get all over my fur - unlike the time when my grandpa shared his banana pudding with me - that was so good though, it was worth getting messy)

And this is one of my favorite pictures from the day - me with two of my favorite aunts and with my mommy - I am so loved!!!

There's lots of other fun pictures - mommy and Jenn H and Denise both took a lot, but I figured those were some of the best...

Well, one more - this is a picture of lots of my favorite people, all in one place...
